What Spotlight is for

Spotlight is for aviation work with genuine editorial value: new ideas and inventions, experimental or homebuilt aircraft, prototypes, avionics and software, research, restorations, manufacturing methods, safety or airport innovations, emerging technology, unusual projects and the people creating them.

It is not a classified ad, crowdfunding page or press-release dumping ground. Selection is based on whether the subject is interesting and useful to the aviation community.

How it works

• There is no charge to submit or be selected.
• Contributors submit a complete, proofread, publication-ready story about the work they want considered.
• USAviation.info decides what is published and formats accepted stories to fit the website; we do not provide proofreading, grammar correction, copyediting or rewriting.
• Relevant contributor or company affiliations are disclosed.
• Up to five features may be active at once.
• Each active feature stays up for 30 days, then moves to the permanent archive.
• Contributors acknowledge USAviation.info when sharing or reposting their published feature.
